Solist in den Philharmonien von Berlin und München, im Kennedy Center in Washington,
in der New Yorker Avery Fisher Hall, in der Züricher Tonhalle, im Goldenen Saal des
Wiener Musikvereins oder der Mailänder Scala, mit Dirigenten wie Sergiu Celibidache,
Charles Dutoit, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Yehudi Menuhin, Jun Märkl, Yutaka Sado,
Franz Welser-Möst, Andris Nelsons und Marcello Viotti, trägt er neben den Werken der
großen Violinliteratur ein zum Teil nie gehörtes Repertoire in die Welt.
Allein sein Einsatz für das Werk Niccolò Paganinis feiert ungewöhnliche Erfolge, wie im
März 2006 mit den New Yorker Philharmonikern; zudem mit der Gesamteinspielung der 6
Violinkonzerte (Telos Records) und in der Fernsehdokumentation „Paganinis
Geheimnis“ (merkur.tv 2006).
Sein umfangreiches Repertoire aller Stilrichtungen ist mittlerweile auf über 40 CD-
Produktionen dokumentiert. Einst vielbeachtete Ersteinspielungen, sind viele Werke heute
in den gängigen Konzertbetrieb eingeflossen. 2005 gründete er das Kammerorchester „I Virtuosi di Paganini“. Im Jahre 2006 folgte Ingolf Turban, der bis dahin 11 Jahre an der Stuttgarter Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst unterrichtet hatte, dem Ruf an die Hochschule für Musik und Theater in München.
2021 erhält Ingolf Turban den International-Classical-Music-Award.

With solo performances in greatest concert halls of the world including the Berlin and Munich Philharmonic; the Kennedy Center, Washington; Avery Fisher Hall, New York; Tonhalle, Zurich; Goldenen Saal, Vienna or the Scala, Milan; working with directors like Sergiu Celibidache, Charles Dutoit, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Yehudi Menuhin, Jun Märkl, Andris Nelsons and Marcello Viotti, Ingolf Turban commands a repertoire of works, some of which have rarely been performed on stage.
His virtuosic skill for Niccolò Paganinis works gained critical acclaim for his March 2006 performance with the New York Philharmonic, additionally his complete recording of the six violin concertos (Telos Records) and in the TV documentary „Paganinis Geheimnis“ (merkur.tv 2006).
His extensive repertoire in all branches has produced over 40 albums. His much celebrated premiere performances have gained world wide acclaim and are now recognized as standard concert works.
In 2005 he founded the Chamber Orchestra „I Virtuosi di Paganini“. In the 11 previous years, he was professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Stuttgart, Germany, then was called to the University for Music and Theater in Munich, Germany.

Quando il Washington Times definì Ingolf Turban “ Genio tedesco…” e celebrò il suo “incredibile debutto”, la sua prima apparizione da solista con Sergiu Celibidache e di “Münchner Phliharmoniker” faceva già parte della storia e di una serie di esibizioni che lo avrebbero visto protagonista in tutto il mondo. Le più importanti sale d’Europa e degli Stati Uniti , più di sessanta orchestre e i più importanti direttori segnano le tappe della sua carriera.
In questo percorso ha affrontato un repertorio, che abbraccia tutte le grandi composizioni dell’epoca barocca, classica e romantica. Ingolf Turban si dedica inoltre all’approfondimento di compositori raramente eseguiti , come per esempio Joseph Achron, Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, Karl-
Amadeus Hartmann e Ludwig Thuille.
Una vera passione lo lega all’opera di Niccolò Paganini. Ha già inciso molte delle sue composizioni e non si stancherà mai di avvicinare il suo pubblico anche al genio compositivo del Maestro genovese - e con successo!
Presto saranno trenta i CD che testimoniano la vastità e l’eccezionalità del repertorio di Ingolf Turban. Molti di essi sono prime registrazioni assolute che, secondo la stampa specializzata, “hanno segnato una nuova era”, e sono stati insigniti dei più ambiti premi discografici.
All’inizio del 2005 risale la fondazione da parte di Ingolf Turban dell’orchestra da camera “I VIRTUOSI DI PAGANINI”.
Ingolf Turban, nato da madre pianista e da padre medico e amante della musica, non si è mai allontanato da Monaco, sua città natale, dove vive con la famiglia.

ドイツ・ミュンヘンに生まれ、12歳でウィーン・フィル元コンサートマスター、ゲルハルト・ヘッツェルのクラスに入門。その後アメリカにてイェンツ・エラーマンおよびドロシー・ディレイに師事し、国際的な演奏家としての基盤を築く。21歳の若さでチェリビダッケ率いるミュンヘン・フィルの第一コンサートマスターに就任し、翌年には同団との共演でソリストとしてデビュー。ソリストとしての国際的キャリアを本格的に開始後ウィーン楽友協会ホールやミラノ・スカラ座、サントリーホール、ベルリンおよびミュンヘン・フィルハーモニー、ワシントン、ケネディ・センター、ニューヨーク、エイヴリー・フィッシャー・ホール、チューリッヒのトーンハレをはじめとする世界の主要ホールでソリストとして出演。チェリビダッケ、デュトワ、マゼール、メータ、メニューイン、メルケル、佐渡裕、ネルソンス、ヴィオッティらの指揮者と共演した。
演奏される機会の少ないレアな作品を含め、バロックから現代音楽に至るまで幅広いレパートリーを持ち、これまでに50枚以上のCDを収録。初演活動でも国際的な評価を得ている。なかでもニコロ・パガニーニ作品の演奏における卓越した技巧と深い造詣で知られており、2006年3月、ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックとの共演で世界的な成功を収め、ヴァイオリン協奏曲全6曲を収録。（Telos Records）テレビドキュメンタリー「パガニーニの秘密」（2006年）ではパガニーニ自身として主演した。2021年、国際クラシック音楽賞を受賞。
現在はミュンヘン音楽・演劇大学教授として後進の育成にも力を注ぎ、門下からは多くの国際コンクール受賞者を輩出している。ヘンレ社などの出版社で楽譜監修を務めるなど、教育者としても高い評価を得ている。日本にも度々訪れ、公演やマスタークラスを行っている。
